Austin Art Board

Wonderfully surprised to have been named as one of 10 artists out of 30 talented finalists and 200 applicants overall, to have my work displayed across Austin on bilboards for the next year.

My piece entitled, "From the Ground Up" was created this summer when I was in residence at CentralTrak in Dallas. I made it in homage to all the people of Latino decent who work so hard to build all these new homes and buildings going up in Austin with it's rapid growth, but whose wages in doing so preclude them from being able to afford those same properties.
