"Corporate Whirled" was a solo installation at the Lawndale Arts Center in Houston, TX in 2001. The opening included a performance entitled "Potato Hierarchy." The evidence of said performance, which included potatoes and a shirt, became an installation in the center of the gallery space.

Artist's statement from Lawndale literature:
"Often in my work, the form of a suit coat represents the dark foreboding corporate being that hovers over me. Its promises to draw me in and repel me at the same time. As many people in this world, at one point, I was pulled into the swirling spiral of the business world. Different positions I held possessed various levels of conservative business elements i.e. dress code, conservative behavior, and lack of the human element.

It was like a huge amalgam of dark suited minds. Also, being a part of this environment off and on for a few years gave me a great perspective on how the male ego dominates and is intertwined with the corporate structure. My work deals with the dark suited mind. It's about the maleness of the business world and how primal male attitudes and ideas seep into it and ultimately into me as a participant."
