Aliñado was the title of both the show I curated in Guadalajara, Mexico and the installation I contributed to the show.

The chaotic linear drawings of Dr. Russell Reed perfectly complimented the simple lines in my figures.

Aliñado means dressed or fixed up and this title references both the discarded clothes that line the walls of the installation presumably having been shed by the floating plastic figures that take up the majority of the space in the work.

The transparent suits that hang from the ceiling can both be shed skins or our essential selves; purged and empty vessels waiting to be filled.

This installation was reconfigured and shown at the UTSA Satellite Space in San Antonio, Texas in 2008 as part of Welcome to the Monkey House.
